| Summary: | Starting from the drama of the war scenarios present in todays world and from the difficulty of reaching a peace agreement, this contribution begins the reflection with terminological clarification in order to outline some pathways to sustainable peace education. The terminological clarification has led to the awareness that a systemic approach is essential to overcome war, a result of interweaving of causes. The author brings into dialogue the social doctrine of the Catholic Church with various instances of contemporary culture by adopting the systemic perspective of Fritjof Capra. This approach has made it possible to outline a pathway to peace education by focusing on the need to develop a systemic vision of life, to be able to assume conflict as a possibility for growth, in the logic of a global educational pact.
