| Summary: | The central axis of this article focuses on the need to change model and to consider ageing as a Human Rights issue; from research and theory, as well as from the public policies. In order to understand the social inequalities that are located in the centre of one of the most crucial demographic phenomenon of the century, the articles provides and analyses other necessary perspectives, such as the methodological approach focusing on Human Rights and the introduction of age as a transversal perspective. El eje central de este artículo gira en torno a la necesidad de que tantodesde la investigación, como desde la teoría, como desde las políticas públicas, se realice un cambio de modelo, y el envejecimiento sea considerado como un asunto de derechos humanos. Para comprender las desigualdades sociales que se encuentran en el centro de uno de los fenómenos demográficos cruciales del presente siglo se aportan y analizan otras perspectivas necesarias, tales como el enfoque metodológico basado en los Derechos Humanos, y la introducción de la perspectiva de edad de forma transversal. |
