| Summary: | The article outlines the constant longing of Paul VI for peace and, in particular, examines the motivations for which he came to establish the World Day for Peace. It indicates how Paul VI prepared the Message for this Day, how it was disseminated and how it was received. In addition to this, it recalls the renewal that Paul VI, with audacity and prophetic spirit, introduced into the life of the Church. We owe much to him if today the figure of the Pope is seen and received in the way that appears natural to us, as something taken for granted. (English) |
