| Summary: | War is the cupio dissolvi of humanity and thus of sustainable development, because it is the conscious annihilation of the evolution of the species. In this view the encyclical Fratelli tutti and the Universal Agenda 2030 are two pillars that sustain the social structure of our future, especially in relation to Goal 16 ("Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development"). When we refer to the principles of solidarity and subsidiarity as unifying principles of peaceful coexistence, it is clear that there is an underlying universal vision of fraternity among human beings that translates into the founding model of the UN 2030 Agenda at the secular level of supranational governance. The high founding of a peaceful society in accordance with Goal 16 is thus constructed in an exclusively multilateral framework, with the progressive and persistent affirmation of democratic principles and the protection of rights at all levels, up to patiently constructing the principle of global citizenship.
