Als Form der Selbstmitteilung und Selbstdarstellung sind sie auch auf persönliche Begegnung angelegt, fördern Emotionsreaktionen und regen interaktive Prozesse an. Insofern generieren sich über statische und bewegte Bilder und die Praxis des Bildteilens neue digitale Gemeinschaften, die das Potenzial zur gegenseitigen Sorge und zum Austausch über Spiritualität und spirituelle Praxis bergen. Diese Prozesse gilt es wahrzunehmen und die Chancen visueller Kommunikation für Spiritual Care und Seelsorge auszuloten. Images are omnipresent in digital communication, especially in social media. They serve as carriers of feelings and meaning, illustrate and transcend the living world and everyday life, and open up spiritual dimensions. As a form of self-communication and self-presentation, they are also designed for personal encounters, promote emotional reactions and stimulate interactive processes. In this respect, new digital communities are generated through static and moving images and the practice of image sharing, which also hold the potential for mutual care and exchange about spirituality and spiritual practice. These processes must be perceived and the opportunities for visual communication for spiritual care and pastoral care will be explored. |
