Summary: | Bilder sind allgegenwärtig in digitaler Kommunikation, insbesondere in sozialen Medien. Images are omnipresent in digital communication, especially in social media. They serve as carriers of feelings and meaning, illustrate and transcend the living world and everyday life, and open up spiritual dimensions. As a form of self-communication and self-presentation, they are also designed for personal encounters, promote emotional reactions and stimulate interactive processes. In this respect, new digital communities are generated through static and moving images and the practice of image sharing, which also hold the potential for mutual care and exchange about spirituality and spiritual practice. These processes must be perceived and the opportunities for visual communication for spiritual care and pastoral care will be explored. |
