| Summary: | About the emergence of the modern notion of ‘Christology’This article has three objectives: 1) to show the difference between the Paulinenotion of Christology (understood as mild words, arriving to 16th Century, with somevariations) and the modern notion of Christology (understood as a treatise on Christ,beginning in the 17th Century), 2) vindicate that the first work entitled Christologiaand that develops the central themes of modern Christology is Christologiae seu sermonum de Christo (1602) by Hieronymus Powodowski, a Polish canon; 3) show, inline with the works entitled Christologia, the systematic development of reformedChristology throughout the 17th Century. According to the development of these objectives, the beginning of the modern notion of Christology, which is still used to thisday, is better dated, and defends that, before being developed by the Lutherans, waselaborated by Powodowski, a catholic author. Este artículo tiene tres objetivos: 1) mostrar la diferencia entre la noción paulina decristología (entendida como palabras suaves, que llega hasta el siglo XVI, con algunasvariaciones) y la noción moderna de cristología, entendida como tratado sobre Cristo(que comienza en el siglo XVII), 2) vindicar que la primera obra titulada Christologiay que desarrolla los temas centrales de la cristología moderna es Christologiaeseu sermonum de Christo (1602) del canónigo polaco Hieronymus Powodowski; 3)mostrar, al hilo de las obras intituladas Christologia, el desarrollo sistemático de lacristología reformada a lo largo del siglo XVII. Con ello se puede datar mejor elcomienzo de la noción moderna de cristología, que es la que se sigue usando hastanuestros días, y se defiende que, antes de ser desarrollada por los luteranos, fue tratada por Powodowski, un autor católico. |
