| Resumo: | This work reflects about the methods and techniques of qualitative and quantitative research focusing on four key aspects: the need to know and use the various methods of social research by researchers and research; the close interweaving of research methods in the disciplines for which they serve; aspects and key duties in teaching social research methods with students and new researchers; andthe importance of objectivity in social research but theimpossibility of neutrality. Se realiza una reflexión sobre los métodos y técnicas de investigacióncualitativos y cuantitativos centrándose en cuatro aspectos fundamentales: la necesidad de conocer y utilizar los distintos métodos de investigación social por parte de los investigadores e investigadoras; la estrecha imbricación de los métodos de investigación en las disciplinas para las que sirven; los aspectos y deberes claves en la enseñanza de métodos de investigación social con los estudiantes y nuevos investigadores; y la importancia de la objetividad en la investigación social pero la imposibilidad de la neutralidad. |
