| Summary: | Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Foundations, practice in the clinical context and development areas. In this paper we put forward in summary form the kind of intervention proposed by the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Since its epistemological foundations and the empirical research to which it has submitted, we specify its clinical practice and its most common areas of intervention. We also offer different considerations about its scope or usefulness and the difficulties that commonly arise during its practice. En este artículo se presenta de forma sintética el tipo de intervención que propone la Terapia de Aceptación y Compromiso (ACT). A partir de sus fundamentos epistemológicos y de las investigaciones empíricas a las que se ha sometido, se concreta su práctica clínica y sus áreas de trabajo más comunes; también se ofrecen distintas consideraciones sobre su alcance o utilidad y las dificultades habituales que surgen durante su ejercicio. |
