L’articolo presenta le linee basilari dell’insegnamento etico di Klsaus Demmer (1931-2014) nel campo della bioetica. Nei diversi paragrafi si affronta anzitutto il problema del significato della ricerca biomedica e della sperimentazione clinica come necessaria attività in vista di una migliore risposta terapeutica. Ed infine si indicano i criteri ispirativi del pensiero di Klaus Demmer nell’ambito della bioetica di inizio e di fine vita.
