| Summary: | It is the duty of parents to give their children an education which makes it possible for them to give a personal answer to the unknowns of life and trace their own destiny. The function of the public powers is to support this right-duty of the family. Therefore, when the power exceeds the limits marked by the legal norms, national and international, there is the danger of trying to impose a given model of men. In the regulations for the Education for citizenship, in spite of certain positive points, grievous signs of that danger are detected. En el deber de los padres de dar a sus hijos una educación moral que posibilite que ellos puedan dar una respuesta personal a las incógnitas de la vida y trazar su propio destino, los poderes públicos tienen la función de respaldar este derecho-deber de la familia. Por ello, cuando el poder excede los límites que marcan las normas jurídicas, nacionales e internacionales, existe el peligro de intentar la imposición de un modelo determinado de hombres. En la normativa sobre la Educación para la Ciudadanía, no obstante puntos positivos, se advierten graves indicios de ese peligro. |
