| Summary: | These two volumes, consisting of extracts from the cartae of the Carthusian general chapter, complete the years 1731–96 from Dom Palémon Bastin’s Reliquiae Chartarum Capituli Generalis (for volume 1 see JTS, ns 59 [2008], p. 854). In both volumes the editor provides the same introduction, with minor adjustments. One may also find brief details of Dom Palémon Bastin’s work on the cartae, with a brief description of the necrology which he compiled from this source for the years 1250 to 1930, which runs to three volumes. Hogg has also appended information (also reproduced in Analecta Cartusiana, 100: 43) on the nine volumes of cartae relating to the province of Tuscany for the years 1462 to 1789. |
