Περιγραφή
Σύνοψη:This article provides an overview of the patristic sources of Isidore of Seville, as well as a review of the most recent and significant works on the topic. In fact, after having long been under-studied in favour of classical sources, Isidore's patristic sources are becoming better known. We now have an almost complete list, and it is possible to distinguish between those that are rarely cited, those that are only moderately used and whose influence on the Sevillian seems relatively limited, and those that are very important and very often used, among which Ambrose, Jerome, Gregory the Great and Augustine dominate.
