| Summary: | This work aims to explore the way in which the chronicler José de Sigüenza has dealt with Hieronymite monasteries in the Crown of Aragon, highlighting the specificities of this territory and their integration into the Order's structure, especially after 1415. It will be analysed thus the polycentricity in the creation of monasteries, their gradual integration into the Order, and their progressive "marginalization" within the order's organizational structure throughout the 15th century. The article will conclude with a series of general considerations. El presente trabajo pretende explorar la manera en que el cronista José de Sigüenza trata los centros jerónimos de la Corona de Aragón, evidenciando las particularidades de ese territorio y su integración en el conjunto de la orden, especialmente después de 1415. Se analizarán, por tanto, el policentrismo en la aparición de monasterios, la gradual confluencia con el resto de la orden en territorio ibérico y la paulatina "marginación" de los representantes de la Corona en las estructuras organizativas de la orden durante el siglo XV, concluyendo con una serie de consideraciones de amplio espectro. |
