In this article, I intend to review some of the main milestones of the presence of the Society of Jesus in Japan: its exclusivity on the island, unlike in other evangelized territories, its degree of integration with the Japanese society, the syncretism of its religious practices, and its close dependence on trade. | ||

En este artículo me propongo hacer un repaso de algunos de los hitos fundamentales de la presencia de la Compañía de Jesús en Japón: su exclusividad en la isla a diferencia de otros territorios evangelizados, su grado de integración con la sociedad nipona, el sincretismo que se aprecia en el ajuar religioso y su estrecha dependencia con el comercio. | ||
