| Summary: | Considering the analysis of social problems as a central matter in the sociological tradition, this article presents an analysis of the public opinion on the social problems faced in Spain for over three decades, based on data collected through The surveys of the Center for Sociological Research (CIS).The article is divided into four sections; the first consists of brief review about the aim of study of social problems in the sociological tradition, and includes a classification or characterization of the currently most widespread categories of problems in social research. The second section presents an analysis of the public opinion on the problems in the Spanish society from the 80’s until today, taking as empirical reference the CIS barometer surveys. The third section initiates the discussion about the changes observed in the perception of the social problems in the Spanish society during this period, by giving different interpretations and theoretical references that contribute to line out the meaning and consequences of these problems. And finally a last section of conclusions. Enraizando el análisis de los problemas sociales en la tradición sociológica, este artículo presenta un análisis de la opinión pública sobre los problemas sociales que atraviesa España a lo largo de tres décadas, partiendo de los datos de las encuestas del Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas (CIS). El artículo se divide en cuatro partes, incluyendo en la primera una breve revisión del sentido delestudio de los problemas sociales en la tradición sociológica e incluye una clasificación o tipificación de las categorías de problemas más extendidas actualmente en a investigación social. La segunda parte presenta un análisis de la opinión pública sobre los problemas más presentes en la sociedad española desde los años 80 hasta el momento actual, tomando como referente empírico encuestas barómetro del CIS en dicho período. En la tercera parte se abre el debate sobre los cambios observados en la percepción de los problemas sociales en la sociedad española en este período, con algunas interpretaciones y referentes teóricos que contribuyen a perfilar el significado y las consecuencias de estos problemas.Y por último un apartado final de conclusiones. |
