| Summary: | A very strong impact over labor market is the first and main consequencein Spain of the economic crisis. Unemployment rate has grown up from 8.6%at the end of 2007 to 13.91% finishing 2008. In front of this worrying scenario, we need to apply innovative methodologies in the work to social inclusion. In this paper we analyze the results of a program managed by a NGO in Madrid incollaboration with the Regional Government and financed by the European Social Fund. They has make use of Supported Employment methodology largely applied with handicapped people, but adapted to the specific field of socialexclusion: homeless, immigrants, battered women, etc. At the end of their firstyear we analyze registered data, offering the positive impact over the life of excluded people after an external evaluation process using discussion groups, and focused interviews to clients, social workers, and human resources managers ofcompanies participating in the project. A reviewed social intervention model itis also suggested, after comparing this local experience with some others European good practices of SI working with social excluded groups that could beuseful in the context of public social policies design. La crisis económica está teniendo un fortísimo impacto sobre el mercado de trabajo en España. La tasa de desempleo ha crecido desde un 8,6% a finales del 2007 hasta alcanzar el 13,91% a finales del 2008. Ante este difícil panorama es preciso aplicar metodologías innovadoras en el trabajo por la inclusión social. Esta comunicación analiza los resultados de un programa gestionado por una ONG en Madrid con el respaldo del Gobierno Regional y el soporte económico del Fondo Social Europeo. Se ha aplicado la metodología del Empleo con Apoyo (ECA) que ha venido siendo ampliamente utilizada con personas discapacitadas, adaptándola al campo específico de la exclusión social: Personas sin hogar,inmigrantes, mujeres maltratadas, etc. Se analizan los datos registrados al finaldel primer año de funcionamiento del programa y se presenta el positivo impactoque ha tenido en las vidas de las personas excluidas tras una evaluaciónrealizada tras un trabajo de campo con entrevistas focalizadas y grupos de discusiónde usuarios, trabajadores sociales y responsables de recursos humanos de las empresas que participan en el programa. Se sugiere además un modelo de intervención revisado a la luz de algunas experiencias europeas en donde se ha aplicado exitosamente el modelo ECA a grupos en situación de exclusión social. |
