| Summary: | This article explains how the dynamic of Interior knowledge within the Spiritual Exercises that is present during the four weeks of the spiritual process as envisioned by Ignatius corresponds to the classical three ways of spirituality. Thus internal knowledge of sins [63] is linked with the purgative way, inner knowledge of the Lord [104] with the illuminative way and interior knowledge of all good received [233] with the unitive way. Such a reading of the Exercises helps us to approach it not only as an Ignatian means of knowing oneself, God and the world, but opens us to the possibility of understanding it as a process with clear and well-organized steps. This bond between Interior knowledge of the Exercises and the traditional three ways will in turn allow us to highlight new aspects of the classical scheme from an Ignatian perspective. Este artículo muestra cómo la dinámica del Conocimiento interno de los Ejercicios Espirituales, que recorre casi el total de las cuatro semanas del proceso espiritual propuesto por Ignacio de Loyola, se corresponde con las tres vías de la espiritualidad clásica. Así es como se vincula el conocimiento interno del pecado [63] con la vía purgativa, el conocimiento interno del Señor [104] con la vía iluminativa, y el conocimiento interno de los bienes recibidos [233] con la vía unitiva. Esta lectura de los Ejercicios permite acercarnos, no sólo a una forma particular ignaciana de conocerse uno mismo, a Dios y al mundo, sino que también ofrece la posibilidad de comprenderlo en forma procesual, con fases claras y relativamente ordenadas. La relación señalada, entre el conocimiento interno de los Ejercicios y el esquema viario tradicional de la espiritualidad, nos permitirá, a su vez, ver algunos acentos distintivos, propio de lo ignaciano, ofreciendo así novedad al esquema tradicional. |
