| Summary: | From the sixties onward, much literature has been produced on the topic of «contextualization» and «contextual theology». More than another theology, contextual theology should be described as the effort of theology to be of relevance in its own context. Several trends, such as «indigenization», «inculturation», «localization», share the same purpose. This paper tries to explain the terminology used by the authors, and to give some criteria both to identify contexts and to evaluate the different models of contextualization. Desde los años sesenta se ha escrito mucho sobre la «contextualización» y la «teología contextual». Más que otra teología, la «teología contextual» debería describirse como el esfuerzo de toda teología por ser significativa en su propio contexto. Otros nombres empleados, como «indigenización», «inculturación» o «localización», participan del mismo propósito. Este trabajo explica la terminología empleada por los autores, y ofrece algunos criterios tanto para identificar los contextos como para evaluar los diferentes modelos de contextualización. |
