Partindo dos principais usos litúrgicos e pedagógicos dos quatro livros dos Reis, a genealogia de um corpus textual e da sua ordenação nos manuscritos permitem-nos identificar quatro tendências estratégicas: a busca da continuidade narrativa, a função profética da realeza de Israel, a renúncia à ideia do Templo e, finalmente, a teoria do reino na terra. Observamos, assim, uma desmistificação e a perda do efeito performativo dos Livros dos Reis. | ||

Après les principaux usages liturgiques et pédagogiques des quatre livres des Rois, la généalogie d’un corpus textuel et de sa mise en ordre dans les manuscrits permet de repérer quatre tendances stratégiques: recherche de continuité narrative, fonction prophétique de la royauté d’Israël, renoncement à l’idée du Temple, enfin théorie du royaume sur terre. On constate ainsi une démythologisation et la perte de l’effet performatif des Livres des Rois. | ||
| 520 | |a We propose a reflection about the importance of an historical reading of the manuscripts, translations and commentaries of the Books of Kings (I-II Samuel – I-II Kings) in the West, between the 12th and the 14th centuries. Starting with the main liturgical and pedagogical uses of the four books of Kings, the genealogy of the textual corpus and its ordination in the manuscripts, we can identify four strategic tendencies: the search for a narrative continuity, the prophetic function of Israel’s royalty, the renunciation from the idea of the Temple and, finally, the theory of the kingdom on earth. We thus observe a demystification and loss of the performative effect of the Books of Kings. | ||
