Pouvons-nous penser ce phénomène sans recourir, de manière fondamentaliste, à une autorité absolue ? Hans-Christoph Askani pense que oui. Sur ce plan-là, il y a un accord entre lui et Pierre Gisel. Concernant la manière de penser le canon et ses implications, il y a cependant des différences entre les deux théologiens, qui se profilent dans le va-et-vient de leur échange. Ces différences concernent notamment la compréhension de la révélation et la conception du rapport entre parole et texte. Elles concernent aussi le statut de Jésus-Christ au sein de la théologie chrétienne. The canon is an alien phenomenon. In Christian theology, however, it has played a central role for centuries and even millennia. Can we think of this phenomenon without resorting, in a fundamentalist way, to absolute authority? Hans-Christoph Askani and Pierre Gisel think so. As to how to do this, there are differences between the two theologians, which become apparent in the back and forth of their exchange. These differences concern in particular the understanding of revelation and the conception of the relationship between word and text. They also concern the status of Jesus-Christ within Christian theology. |
