| Summary: | A la pregunta «¿puede un clérigo elegido por la Iglesia para administrar los sacramentos continuar haciéndolo después de una deposición o excomunión?», Hugo de Amiens (1085-1164), Gerhoch de Reichersberg (1092/93-1169) y Guillermo de Auvergne († 1249), ofrecieron una respuesta resueltamente negativa, que nacía de una concepción particular de las relaciones entre el sacramento del orden y el oficio eclesiástico o ministerium. Su razonamiento, que otorga una gran importancia a la potestad jurisdiccional de la Iglesia, se comprende sobre todo en el contexto de la lucha contra la simonía y las herejías. Hugh of Amiens (1085-1164), Gerhoch of Reichersberg (1092/93-1169) and William of Auvergne ( 1249) gave an emphatically negative answer to the question of whether a cleric chosen by the Church to administer the sacraments can continue to do so if he is sanctioned by deposition or excommunication. This question arose from a particular conception of the relationship between the sacrament of orders and the ecclesiastical or ministerial office. Their reasoning, which attributes great importance to the jurisdictional power of the Church, is particularly relevant in the context of the struggle against simony and heresies. (English) |
