| Summary: | La quadruplice alleanza (Adamo, Noè, Mosè e Cristo) esposta da Ireneo di Lione in nell’Adversus Haereses (3,11,8) è stata variamente chiamata in causa nella seconda metà del secolo scorso dai teologi di area cattolica. In questocontributo si intende ricostruire il contesto remoto e prossimo del passo antico,per poi suggerire una ricostruzione filologica e un’interpretazione teologica dello stesso. Si possono così raccogliere tre provocazioni che giungono dal testo antico alla teologia contemporanea: l’universalità della creazione, l’eccezionalità rappresentata dal popolo di Israele, l’invito alla conversione del cristiano per ritrovare il punto unitario della storia in vista del dialogo con i non cristiani. The fourfold covenant (Adam, Noah, Moses and Christ) expounded by Irenaeus of Lyons in Adversus Haereses (3,11,8) was called into question in various ways in the second half of the last century by Catholic theologians. The aim of this contribution is to reconstruct the early and more recent context of the ancient passage, to then suggest its philological reconstruction and theological interpretation. Thus three provocations that come to contemporary theology from the ancient text can be drawn: the universality of creation, the exceptional nature of the people of Israel, the invitation to christian conversion with a view to finding the unitary point of history which enables dialogue with non-Christians. |
