| Summary: | This article analyzes the episcopal list from the Late Antiquity of the Episcopal See of Tarragona contained in Ms. 2610 of the University Library of Salamanca. For that purpose, the evidence of the quoted bishops is contrasted with other literary and epigraphic sources in a search to know precisely and scientifically the occupants of the episcopal chair of Tarragona prior to the arrival of the Muslims in the Iberian Peninsula. Finally, a renewed list of the bishops of Tarragona in Roman and Visigothic periods is formulated, elaborated through the conjunction of the facts collected in this manuscript and the information provided by other sources. Este artículo analiza la lista episcopal de época tardoantigua de la sede de Tarragona contenida en el Ms. 2610 de la Biblioteca Universitaria de Salamanca. Para ello, se contrasta la evidencia de los obispos citados con otras fuentes literarias y epigráficas en una búsqueda por conocer de manera precisa y científica los ocupantes de la silla episcopal tarraconense previos a la llegada de los musulmanes a la península ibérica. Finalmente, se formula una renovada nomina de los obispos de Tarragona en época romana y visigoda elaborada mediante la conjunción de los datos recogidos en este manuscrito y las informaciones suministradas por otras fuentes. |
