Moreover, the question of whether work is a divine punishment, a consequence of original sin, or something related to the Christian’s own vocation is latent. This understanding evolved over time in recent Lutheran authors. Finally, the question of whether this conception of work is more of a social-spiritual order, or whether it also has a theological foundation, is addressed here. | ||
