总结: | In these lines we study Luther’s theology of work through his main works, as well as the recent contributions in this confessional field based on the Reformer’s doctrine. On the one hand, work is presented by these authors as a continuation of creation, with hardly any reference to the work of Jesus, except for the allusions to the theology of the cross. Moreover, the question of whether work is a divine punishment, a consequence of original sin, or something related to the Christian’s own vocation is latent. This understanding evolved over time in recent Lutheran authors. Finally, the question of whether this conception of work is more of a social-spiritual order, or whether it also has a theological foundation, is addressed here. |
