True, the philosophical achievements of predecessors of skeptics, before being used to justify and validate new approaches and goals in science, social life, moral complex, thinkers of the modern times, have been substantially revised. Some of them - actualized, second, inappropriate to the needs of intellectual development and society as a whole, omitted; the third are perceived, developed, transcended and thought-out, or endowed with new meanings, which were neither in the pyron nor in the "academics", but which have already been designated by "new pioneers" (Castellon, Sanchez, Montaigne, Sharon, Lamote Lewaye, Gassendi, etc.). | ||
| 520 | |a Попередня практика застосування скептично-критичного підходу у поступовому витісненні домінуючого досі у всіх сферах життя Європи способу мислення, орієнтованого на догматизацію, ортодоксалізацію та консерватизм отримала і в ХVІІ ст. подальше поширення та розвиток. Знані, авторитетні мислителі - філософи, природознавці, математики, теологи у Франції, Англії, Голландії, Німеччині, Італії, прагнучи розв’язувати назрілі суспільні проблеми і обстоюючи новітнє бачення шляхів їх вирішення, доволі активно використовували арсенал ідей скептичної спадщини античності, «піроніків» Нового часу. Щоправда, філософські здобутки скептиків-попередників, перш ніж бути використаними для обґрунтування й утвердження нових підходів і цілей у науці, суспільному житті, моральному комплексі, мислителями нового часу були суттєво переглянуті. Одні з них - актуалізовані, другі, невідповідні потребам інтелектуального розвитку і суспільства в цілому, опущені; треті - сприйняті, розвинуті, пере- і доосмислені чи й наділені новими смислами, яких не було ні у Пірона, ні в «академіків», але які вже були означені «новими піроніками» (Кастеліоном, Санчезом, Монтенем, Шароном, Ламотом Левайе, Гасенді та ін.). | ||
