In questo articolo si fornisce uno studio preliminare di alcuni fascicoli manoscritti di due serie di Bozze dei Colloqui, redatti sotto la direzione di madre Pacifica del Tovaglia, presumibilmente tra il 1602 e il 1616 e parzialmente editi nella Vita e ratti di S. M. Maddalena de Pazzi (1688), promossa dal Carmelo fiorentino. Tale indagine consente in primo luogo di cogliere l’importanza, in Teologia spirituale, della comparazione tra fonti manoscritte e materiali editi. In secondo luogo, aiuta a comprendere le metodologie di lavoro attraverso cui le parole di S. Maria Maddalena sono giunte ai posteri all’interno dell’orizzonte di senso e di fede in cui ella ha vissuto. Lo studio degli autografi, infine, restituisce alle sorelle di Santa Maria degli Angeli, non solo il ruolo di comunità testimone ma anche di coautrici con il Puccini della Vita, nonché importanti redattrici del suo pensiero e del suo dire. | ||
| 520 | |a Manuscripts and Editions of the Colloqui by St. Mary Magdalene de’ Pazzi The works of St. Mary Magdalene de’ Pazzi were not written directly by her. The Drafts of the Colloquia composed under the direction of Mother Pacifica del Tovaglia, probably between 1602 and 1616, were published in part in The Life and Ecstasies of St. Mary Magdalene de’ Pazzi, in 1688, promoted by the Carmelite monastery of Florence. The present article provides a preliminary study of some handwritten files for the Drafts of the Colloquia. The examination of these files serves three purposes. It first underlines the importance in Spiritual Theology of comparison between manuscripts and published material. It then enables us to understand how St. Mary Magdalene’s words reached posterity, from within the perspective of meaning and faith proper to her time. Lastly, it leads to the acknowledgement of the sisters of Saint Mary of the Angels, not only as witnesses, but also as co-authors of The Life and important editors of the saint’s thoughts and words. | ||
