Beide Denkformen im Modus eines panentheistischen Gottesgedankens zu reformulieren ist sein bleibendes Anliegen, das mit diesem Beitrag in seinen wesentlichen Zügen skizziert wird.

The question of the relationship between the absolute and the finite can be seen as the core of both his academic teaching and his sermons. It is connected with an in-depth study of the work of Spinoza and, from a theological perspective, with the idea of the revelation of the Divine in the incarnation of Jesus Christ. Reformulating both forms of thought in the mode of a panentheistic idea of God is his enduring concern, the essential features of which are outlined in this contribution.
