Description
Summary:This book is a welcome contribution to the study of the Testament of Solomon (T. Sol.) which offers an original rethinking of key critical issues. Chapter 1 opens with a review of scholarship, a summary of the text as found in manuscript P, and an analysis of the structure of the work as found in this manuscript. It also surveys the surviving textual evidence. The Vienna Papyrus, the earliest fragment (fifth or six century ce), consisted of a version of chapter 18 that seems originally to have circulated independently.
