| Summary: | The Guardian is a figure proper to Franciscan language. As frequently happens in the birth of a term that indicates a function; it gets confused early on with other very similar terms of the Franciscan movement, such as 'minister' or 'guardian'. This fog prevents us from clearly distinguishing this word 'Guardian' from other similar ones in the writings of Francis or in the documents of the Roman Curia. This does not prevent recognition of the importance of the Guardian in the life of the Order from its origins to the present day. For this reason the study seeks to illuminate this figure in the first decades of Franciscan history through the Franciscan Sources; to deepen the important role it has in the community, even in our days, wanting to photograph it through the flash of the Franciscan charism; and to present the development it has had over time in the various Constitutions, the result of the study and decisions of General Chapters in the first centuries and in the midst of the history of the Order. Il Guardiano è una figura propria del linguaggio francescano. Come succede generalmente nella nascita di un termine per indicare una funzione, nei primi anni della sua vita si confonde con altri termini del movimento francescano molto simili, come 'ministro' o 'custode'. Questa nebbia ci impedisce distinguere con chiarezza questo vocabolo 'Guardiano' di quelli altri simili negli scritti di Francesco o nei documenti della Curia Romana. Questo non impedisce riconoscere l'importanza del Guardiano nella vita dell'Ordine dagli origini fino ai nostri giorni. Per questo lo studio tratta di illuminare questa figura nei primi decenni della storia francescana attraverso le Fonti Francescane; di approfondire il ruolo importante che ha nella fraternità, anche nei nostri giorni, volendo fotografarlo per mezzo del flash del carisma francescano; e di presentare lo sviluppo che ha avuto attraverso il tempo nelle diverse Costituzioni, frutto dello studio e decisioni dei Capitoli generali nel primo secolo e mezzo della storia dell'Ordine |
