Description
Summary:Considering our secular society, how is it possible to talk about grace? On the one hand one can experience the difference between happiness and salvation, on the other hand happiness can be understood as a moment of the discourse on salvation. Modernity entails risks that keep alive the question about contingence: everything is contingent but, precisely, that point gives a common ground to understand the relation between grace/salvation and happiness. Aristoteles' and Thomas' philosophy and classical theology recognize possibilities for such a relation. The axiom 'grace presupposes nature and perfects it' is such a possibility that the modern discourse about happiness theologically integrates and questions.
