The topic derives its importance on the one hand from the increased number of people with dementia in hospitals, and on the other from the ethical implications which occur in the context of caring for these groups in a clinical setting. In the following, some examples of aspects worthy of ethical reflection will be delineated and contextualized with respect to the "moral distress" which can often arise from them. The context here is professional nursing, in which from an ethical perspective people with dementia in hospitals comprise an important and vulnerable group, requiring considerable care. |
