Summary:Thanks to the cross-study of different texts describing the royal funeral rituals during the Neo-Assyrian period, the archaeological evidences and the ethnographical comparisons, som different components of the embalming fluid can be identified. The manufacture process of this balm, and the associated infrastrucctures with the required personal, can also be proposed using the data available thanks to the texts. The contemporary phenmena will be employed to fill in the gaps left open by the absence of the Neo-Assyrian evidences.
