Description
Item Description:General View of the Interior, looking toward the altar. Some of the 21 massive crystal Chandeliers are seen here to good advantage. The broad vaulted nave seats 850 in air-conditioned comfort with no obstructions to vision owing to the novel elimination of traditional columns. Brilliant trilogies to the Crucifixion and the Resurrection cover both transept walls. To the far letf may be seen the bronze baptismal font and the pulpit; to the far right the Bishop's throne. The altar screen, separating sanctuary from church proper, is typical of all Eastern Orthodox Churches
