| Summary: | This work wants to respond to the demand of those who are looking for a succinct but significant introduction to the reflections of Joseph Ratzinger on the historical identity of Europe. It is a study that, from the perspective of the German theologian, makes a brief itinerary through the political-spiritual history of Europe, underlining the caesura that constituted the 20th century, and ending with some proposals to build a Europe with a future. Among these, it is not convenient to forget the light that comes from the strange flashes of revelation, suggesting a future essay in theology of history. |
