| Summary: | Cet article présente les principaux sites d’initiation chrétienne mis au jour et étudiés par les archéologues dans le ressort des deux patriarcats orientaux d’Antioche et de Jérusalem. Entre les ive et viie siècles, la constante évolution du cadre architectural où le sacrement du baptême était conféré peut éclairer la signification des rites qui étaient pratiqués, dans les villes et dans les villages. Les grands sites de pèlerinages et l’influence possible d’usages chypriotes apportent des éléments complémentaires, propres à nuancer ou compléter ce panorama. Oriental baptisteries (Patriarchates of Antioch and Jerusalem, autocephalous Church of Cyprus)This paper reviews the main sites for Christian initiation, which have been discovered and studied by archaeologists in the jurisdiction of the Eastern Patriarchates of Antioch and Jerusalem. Between the 4th and 7th centuries, the constant evolution of the architectural framework, in which the sacrament of baptism was conferred can shed light on the meaning of the rites being performed, both in cities and rural settlements. Major places of pilgrimage as well as some possible influence from Cyprus are also to be considered, in order to complete or qualify this review. معموديات الشرق (بطريركيات أنطاكية والقدس، كنيسة قبرص المستقلة ذاتياً)يقدم هذا المقال المواقع الرئيسية للتنشئة المسيحية، المكتشفة والمدروسة من قبل علماء الآثار ضمن نطاق بطريركيات أنطاكية والشرق. استطاع التطور المستمر ما بين القرنين الرابع والسابع، للإطار المعماري المخصص للتعميد في المدن والقرى، على توضيح معنى الطقوس التي كانت تمارس فيها. كما أعطت مواقع الحج الكبيرة وكذلك المعالم القبرصية عناصر تكميلية فريدة لتوضيح هذه الصورة البانورامية وتكميلها. |
