Description
Summary:This article will discuss the theme on the construction of the ecclesiastical hierarchy in the Evangelical Church of Lutheran Confession in Brazil (IECLB). In the last fifty years, women have built access to gender justice in the church and in Brazilian society and there are aspects of Lutheranism in Brazil that mobilized possibilities for action for the appearance of women in the ecclesiastical hierarchy. Through claims, complaints and theological re-elaborations, important for a consolidation of the so-called gender justice since the ecclesiastical hierarchy, a reconfiguration of the recognition and representation of women in this denomination is underway. The analysis of the processes of historical changes related to the appearance of women in places of power and status will be developed, based on testimonies, informal conversations with Lutheran pastors and a bibliographic review on the subject.
