This has been done with reference to historical background of Jain religion, population of Jain and other religions, Schermerhorn's view on minority groups and Jain religion, similarities and differences in Jain and Hindu religion, Pandit Nehru's observations on Jain religion and judicial decisions the minority status to Jain religion.
