Description
Summary:This essay attempts to answer the question of how the Body of Christ is a meaningful symbol for the contemporary Christian community from a feminist perspective. Following Graham Ward's account of the displaced body of Jesus Christ, the author argues that the Body of Christ is a distinctly Christian symbol that empowers the contemporary community of Christian believers with a radical new identity, one that is multi-gendered and includes a vast continuum of human and divine embodied experience.
