Cet article cherche donc à étudier comment Colbert mystifie en 1675 l’assemblée du clergé dans le cadre des négociations relatives au don gratuit afin de détourner certains des fonds qui reviennent de droit à l’Église. Derrière ce micro-acte de pouvoir se révèle en définitive une raison d’État financière en action fondée sur l’expertise et la capacité exécutive de la monarchie administrative en train de se constituer. The financial element of the relations between church and state is an important dimension of the history of the French church. This article tries to examine how, in 1675, Colbert mystified the assembly of clergy during the negotiations concerning the don gratuit in order to divert funds that by right belonged to the church. Ultimately, what lay behind this micro-act of power was a financial raison d’état that was based on the expertise and the executive capacity of the administrative monarchy that was taking shape at the time. Der finanzielle Aspekt der Beziehungen zwischen Kirche und Staat ist eine wichtige Dimension der Geschichte der französischen Kirche. Der Aufsatz geht daher der Frage nach, wie Colbert 1675 die Versammlung der Geistlichen im Rahmen der Verhandlungen über eine freie Gabe täuscht, um einen Teil der Gelder, die rechtmäßig der Kirche zustehen, umzuleiten. Hinter diesem Mikro-Machtakt verbirgt sich letztlich eine Staatsräson im Finanzsektor, die auf dem Sachverstand und der Exekutivkraft der sich bildenden Verwaltungsmonarchie beruht. |
