Description
Summary:The critical reaction from some Practical Theologians against the trends towards hospital spiritual care seems to imply that there is one united model of spiritual care today. Instead, taking up suggestions of Bruce Rumbold, the author distinguishes three different models of spiritual care, describes their sociocultural roots and their potential fit with differing quarters in Christianity. The question is no longer if Christian pastoral care in hospitals is against or for spiritual care ideas, but rather how it will creatively also take active part in shaping spiritual care with others.
