When using the term parish (German: Gemeinde), people almost entirely refer to the local church parish. Using the example of hospital ministry, the author - from a phenomenological and theological point of view - pleads for a broader understanding. He describes hospital ministry as a discrete manifestation of parish work. He thereby wants to enhance the awareness for hospital ministry within the church and to offer new incentives for its further development. |
