| Summary: | Das Verhältnis von Konzil und Petrusamt besitzt nicht nur eine fundamentaltheologische Seite. Es ist auch von praktisch-theologischer Relevanz, insofern der Heilige Stuhl und seine Organe ein Protagonist in den komplexen Rezeptionsprozessen eines Konzils ist. Dies gilt insbesondere für das II. Vatikanische Konzil und seine Neubestimmung des pastoralen Auftrags der Kirche in der Gegenwart. Dabei ist freilich genau zu klären, worin die Autorität des Petrusamtes innerhalb dieser Rezeption besteht, wodurch sie sich begründet und worauf sie sich im Einzelnen bezieht. Der Beitrag zieht dafür insbesondere die Intentionen von Johannes XXIII., wie sie sich in seinen berühmten Metaphern ausdrücken, sowie einige ausgewählte nachkonziliare Dokumente heran. The relationship between a council and the Petrine ministry can not only be seen from the side of fundamental theology. It is also relevant in a practical-theological way, so far as the Holy See with its organs is the protagonist in the middle of the complex reception process during a council. This applies especially to the II. Vatican Council with its redefinition of the pastoral mission of the contemporary church. Certainly it needs to be clarified what the papal authority consists of, where it is based on and what it refers to in every single case. For that purpose the article reflects on the intentions of John XXIII expressed in his famous metaphors, as well as on some selected post-conciliar documents. |
