Summary: | The article analyzes the meaning of the resurrection and compares the synoptic Gospels, which provides less details about the actual resurrection, with the Gospel of St. John, which speaks of Mary Magdalene. The author explains the two-fold truth of Jesus becoming human and His oneness with the Father. John also relates the development of the disciples from the time they found Jesus, to Passion weekend when Judas betrays and Peter denies Jesus and then to the resurrection. It is noted that Mary Magdalene and John remained steadfast up to the Crucifixion. |
