Excavations in the city of Arbil, 2009-2011: he Neo-Assyrian tomb
In the city of Arbil a two-chambered vaulted tomb of baked bricks was ex - cavated, which was occupied from the Neo- to Post-Assyrian periods (ca. 8 th –6 th cent. BC). At least four individuals are attested, and their grave goods provide information on the burial rites performed in the grave.

In der Stadt Arbil wurde eine gewölbte Backsteingruft mit zwei Kammern erforscht, die von der späten neu- bis in die nachassyrische Zeit belegt war (ca. 8.–6. Jh. v. Chr.). Die Grabausstattung der mindestens vier Individuen erlaubt Rückschlüsse auf die in der Gruft durchgeführten Bestattungsriten. |
