| Summary: | En este texto, Anne-Claire Mulder medita, desde la perspectiva de la discapacidad, sobre la idea de Luce Irigaray de que llegar a ser plenamente humano es llegar a ser divino, así como en las reflexiones de Grace Jantzen sobre una teología del florecer, en el sentido de realizarse, como una teología corporal y relacional orientada hacia el bienestar en cuerpo y espíritu. Escribiendo como una persona sin discapacidades, la autora se pregunta sobre cómo estos conceptos colisionan con la realidad de la discapacidad, y sobre cómo estos pueden ser entonces relevantes. La autora toma como compañero de viaje el libro Vensters op het mooie leven, escrito por la investigadora holandesa independiente Jacqueline Kool, y señala que no pude darse una sola respuesta, ni tampoco una respuesta sencilla, a la cuestión de la realización personal debido a las muchas formas que la discapacidad toma, las múltiples diferencias que hay entre personas que tienen discapacidades y lo impredecible del comportamiento del cuerpo (y de su comportamiento). Sugiere que la metáfora del florecer solo funciona si tomamos en cuenta la diversidad que se da en el mundo vegetal a la hora de crecer y medrar. Solo así se puede hacer justicia a la diversidad que se encuentra entre las personas y a las distintas maneras de realizarse. Mulder también muestra que el énfasis de Irigaray en la idea de «transformarse en divinos» está en la palabra «devenir». Así pues, transformarse a la usanza de lo divino es un modo de devenir en el mundo: con el deseo de crecer, y dando forma a las metas, deseos y aspiraciones personales. De esta forma, el devenir divino de las personas con discapacidad pude entenderse como representando a Dios, sobre todo en la forma de un Dios discapacitado, que es una de las muchas imágenes de Dios. In diesem Text reflektiert Anne-Claire Mulder – aus der Perspektive von Menschen mit Behinderung – über Luce Irigarays Vorstellung, dass das vollkommene Menschsein gleichbedeutend mit dem Göttlichwerden ist, sowie über Grace Jantzens Überlegungen zu einer Theologie des 'Flourishing' als einer körperlichen und relationalen Theologie, die auf das Wohlergehen von Körper und Geist ausgerichtet ist. Als Person ohne Behinderungen schreibt Mulder darüber, wo diese Konzepte mit der Realität der Behinderung kollidieren und inwiefern sie bedeutungsvoll sein könnten. Anhand des Buches Vensters op het mooie leven der niederländischen unabhängigen Forscherin und Autorin Jacqueline Kool lernt sie, dass es keine einfache Antwort auf die Frage gibt, wer sich entfalten kann, da es viele verschiedene Formen von Behinderung gibt, viele Unterschiede zwischen Menschen mit Behinderung und körperlichen Unberechenbarkeiten. Sie argumentiert, dass man die Metapher des 'Flourishing' (Lebensentfaltung) nur anwenden kann, wenn man auch die Vielfalt in der Pflanzenwelt, beim Wachsen und Gedeihen, ernst nimmt. Nur dann kann der Vielfalt der Menschen und den unterschiedlichen Arten des Werdens gerecht werden. Mulder zeigt auch, dass die Betonung in Irigarays Begriff 'Göttlichwerden' auf dem Wort werden liegt. Das Göttlichwerden muss daher als eine Art des Werdens in der Welt gesehen werden: mit dem Verlangen zu wachsen, persönliche Ziele, Wünsche und Bestrebungen zu formen. Auf diese Weise kann das Göttlichwerden von Menschen mit Behinderung auch als Repräsentation Gottes gesehen werden, insbesondere in der Form eines behinderten Gottes, der eines der vielen Bilder Gottes ist. In this text, Anne-Claire Mulder muses – from the perspective of disability ‒ on Luce Irigaray’s notion of becoming fully human as becoming divine, and on Grace Jantzen’s reflections on a theology of flourishing as a corporeal and relational theology, directed at well-being in body and spirit. Writing as an able-bodied person, she contemplates where these concepts clash with the reality of disability, and where and how they might be meaningful. Using the book Vensters op het mooie leven by the Dutch independent researcher and author Jacqueline Kool as an interlocutor, she learns that there is not one nor an easy answer to the question of who flourishes, because of the many different forms of disability, the many differences between persons with a disability and unpredictability (of the behaviour) of the body. She argues that the metaphor works only by also taking seriously the diversity in the plant world, in growing and thriving. Only then can justice be done to the diversity of people and the different ways of becoming. Mulder also shows that the emphasis on Irigaray’s notion 'becoming divine' is on the word becoming. Becoming divine must therefore be seen as a mode of becoming in the world: with the longing to grow, shaping personal goals, desires, and aspirations. That way, the becoming divine of persons with disability can also be seen as representing God, notably in the mode of a disabled God, which is one of the many images of God. |
