| Summary: | My initial response to Kroeker's article was that in his rejection of Baum's claim that the Bishops' statement reflected a move to the left, and in his concern that the Bishops should be eco-centred rather than human-centred, he moved the discussion in an abstract, ahistorical, depoliticizing direction. Notes 6 and 21 assure us that this is not his intention. His aim is to raise serious theological issues which have a bearing on the adequacy of the Bishops' approach to economic issues. |
