| Summary: | Here is a meditation on a stupendous passage by Saint Thomas on love in the Commentary on the Sentences of Pedro Lombardo, III, d. 27, Q. 1 am 1 C. In the context of the theme of Charity, Tomás explains to us what happens ontologically every time a person loves another with the love of friendship. What happens is a true transformation of the lover into the beloved, from the reception of his form in the spiritual affective power, that is, in the will, in a certain analogy with what happens with the knowledge of the other. . Starting from this central thesis, the author breaks down the consequences of love in the lover, insofar as love makes us one with the beloved and moves the lover to act accordingly, with full delight, breadth and energy. Se ofrece aquí una meditación sobre un estupendo pasaje de Santo Tomás sobre el amor en el Comentario a las Sentencias de Pedro Lombardo, III, d. 27, q. 1 a. 1 c. En el contexto del tema de la Caridad, Tomás nos explica qué sucede ontológicamente cada vez que una persona ama a otra con amor de amistad. Lo que ocurre es una verdadera transformación del amante en el amado, a partir de la recepción de su forma en la potencia afectiva espiritual, esto es, en la voluntad, en una cierta analogía con lo que sucede con el conocimiento de lo otro. A partir de esta tesis central, el autor va desglosando consecuencias del amor en el amante, en cuanto que el amor nos hace uno con el amado y mueve al amante a obrar en consecuencia, con pleno deleite, amplitud y energía. |
