| Summary: | The concept of Natural Law requires characteristically the idea that there is a Human Nature with precise normative consequences. This work explores in what sense one should say that a nature (in general) can have such normative consequences. First, two frequent and traditional objections are exposed and summarily dismissed. Second, the structure of a nature with normative consequences is discussed in some detail. It will be contended that such a nature requires an evaluative independent element that cannot be simply "deduced" or otherwise inferred from the other elements that appear there. Some epistemological consequences for our knowledge of human nature will be discussed as well as the alíen character that this sort of nature has for the prevailing physicalistic met aphysical view. El concepto de derecho natural requiere de manera característica de la idea de que existe una naturaleza humana con consecuencias normativas. Este trabajo va a explorar en qué sentido debe decirse que una naturaleza (en general) puede tener consecuencias normativas. En primer lugar serán presentadas dos objeciones frecuentes y tradicionales a esta idea y criticadas brevemente. En segundo lugar, se va a tratar con cierto detalle sobre la estructura de una naturaleza con consecuencias normativas. Se va a sostener que tal naturaleza requiere un elemento evaluativo independiente que no puede simplemente ser "deducido" o inferido de otro modo a partir de los restantes elementos existentes ahí. Se tratarán algunas consecuencias epistemológicas de estas ideas para nuestro conocimiento de la naturaleza humana, como también se tratará sobre el carácter esencialmente extraño que tiene una naturaleza entendida de este modo para la visión metafísica *fisicalista hoy prevaleciente. |
